Philosophy

In all my work, I look for what I call the "Wow" factor. What is the "Wow" factor? For me the its doing work that makes a person say "Wow!" That "Wow" can be a great as making a website, cd-rom, or video that users feel changed by, or it can be as simple as improving something that makes the project more efficient. It is what makes any and every job I do fun and exciting.

At LifeMap Communications, under the guidance of the company founders with programmers from Multimedia Live and later LifeMap Communications. I created and worked on a product that communicated fundamental personalized information about Medical coverage 401k and other employee benefits to employees. With a practical but different Life Event driven approach we made the information easy to find. Building easy to uses administration screens, a search engine, and interactive seminars and calculators we made the information fun and easy to obtain. That is a "Wow" for me.

In addition, creating a single sign-on with PeopleSoft, or a sales tutorial cd-rom for Broderbund, or adding chat rooms to a Health and Beauty web site, building nonprofit websites from scratch, are also all "Wow" projects.

I'm looking for a company and experiences that will allow me to learn and experiment with my skills. I enjoy a creative fun working environment that promotes growth. My last two career positions have been for startups, and I'm looking for that hungry, energized atmosphere. I enjoy working hard on projects that present a new challenge and puzzle to me. It can be as simple as "How can I make this better or more efficient?"

Before LifeMap, my work at Multimedia Live, digital phenomena, and various consulting jobs have exposed me to a variety of multimedia applications and content including chat systems, e-commerce, cd-roms, banner ads, and tutorials. And I've worked with clients in a variety of positions such as technical support, sales, project manager, lead engineer, to customer training. With this experience, I feel comfortable in a variety of roles executing a variety of tasks to meet my next company's needs.
